Jessie Balletta is a multi-disciplinary artist working on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people, Naarm/Melbourne, Australia.

Jessie graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art specialising in Print Imaging Practice in 2018 (RMIT). Jessie has a keen interest in copper plate etching and is deeply inspired by the alchemical nature of the processes involved with creating a print. Jessie has featured in a number of group exhibitions and has work held in both public and private collections nationwide.  While predominantly working within a print-based practice her studio experimentation and ideas surrounding resilience and the inner-self expand into drawing, painting and installation.

Presently Jessie is undertaking her Masters of Teaching at the University of Melbourne.

Creativity begins with place.

I acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which I live, work, and create, the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation. I pay my respects to Elders past and present, and recognise that Indigenous sovereignty has never been ceded.
